Cost by capacity
PWC and small craft lifts run $3,000 to $7,500 installed. Standard 10,000-pound lifts, which cover most center consoles and runabouts, commonly run $8,000 to $20,000 installed. Heavy-duty or high-capacity lifts run $20,000 to $40,000 or more for large vessels or specialized configurations. Installation adds $500 to $5,000 on top of the equipment cost. Power for the lift motor and dock lighting adds $6 to $8 per linear foot plus electrician time, usually a $200 minimum.
What affects your price beyond capacity
Lift style matters. Cradle, beam, and PWC lifts are all priced differently. Water depth and whether your existing dock and pilings can handle the load determine whether reinforcement is needed. Adding a lift during initial dock construction is almost always cheaper than retrofitting later.
